Part-Time CNA or HHA (7am-3pm)

Whisper Woods of Smithtown is looking for a compassionate Resident Care Associate (CNA or HHA) to join our team on a part-time basis! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

NYS CNA license or HHA certificate required.

Employment Status: Part-Time

Compensation: $19.00 - $20.25/hr

Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 1st Shift

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Requirements:

• Valid CNA-HHA license or certificate required.
• Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
