Job Description
Position:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - 0.5 FTE for the remainder of the academic year
Schedule:
- 2.5 days per week. Exact days are flexible.
- Hours per day can be discussed and adjusted according to mutual agreement.
Caseload:
- Pre-Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle School students.
Compensation:
- Starting at $32 per hour, negotiable based on experience and credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapists to plan and implement therapeutic interventions.
- Assist in conducting assessments and evaluating students' progress.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in line with their IEP goals.
- Document students' progress and communicate with teachers, parents, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhere to all state and local guidelines and standards for school-based Occupational Therapy services.
Requirements:
- Must have a current Massachusetts COTA license.
- Experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
