The Biology Lab Technician aids in the day-to-day running of a small molecular Biology Lab. This part-time role assists with essential lab maintenance and experimentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order and maintain lab stock and resources
• Conduct scientific experiments related to fungal cell fusion
• Perform data analysis and presentation
• Supervise undergraduate research students

Required Skills

• Must be able to multitask and have excellent organizational skills
• Must be detailed oriented and follow through with ongoing projects
• A high level of organization, flexibility, judgment, and interpersonal skills are required
• Must work to build an environment that promotes and facilitates the success of diversity and inclusion
• Must have strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, MS Teams, Calendly, Zoom, Canvas, and other organizational software adopted as needed

Required Experience

• BS or BA-Biology or a related field
• A strong background in molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, and/or cell biology

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Experience conducting molecular biology research
