Behavioral Health Certified Medical Assistant/Receptionist
Non-Exempt, Part time Position
Department: Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine
Community Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced certified Medical Assistant/Receptionist for a Part Time opportunity in our Behavioral Health Department. The incumbent will work 50% of the time as a Medical Assistant, and 50% of the time as a receptionist, and will report to the Practice Manager.

MA Responsibilities:
- Recently graduated Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply!
- Provide care to children and adolescents, in collaboration with department physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and pediatric physician assistant.
- Assist pediatric providers with patient preparations and procedures as needed.
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the medical chart in a timely manner
- Coordinate patient care with team members, other departments, and community agencies as necessary
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and CHS committees.
- Adhere to all CHS' policies and procedures regarding documentation of medication and information provided to patients.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Manage phone calls
- Schedule appointments
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ensure patient information is accurate in the electronic health record
The successful candidate will:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Possess a national medical assistant certification from a qualifying certifying body (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, or AMT)
- Possess a CPR certification at the healthcare provider level or be eligible to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook
