About The Facility This peaceful and private Equine Rescue farm in SW Ocala is currently home to 7 aged horses. The horses on this facility live out full-time currently, and enjoy a very low-key lifestyle. Deliveries, farrier, vet, and other appointments happen on Tuesdays which would ideally be a full day for one or both employees. They are looking to fill up to 2 shifts at 20/hr or could be one position if desired.
Job Description Looking for 1 or 2 skilled individuals to assist in the care/maintenance horse rescue sanctuary in SW Ocala. This would be a great job for college students or people who have a standard full time role. These individuals should be comfortable with the basic handling of horses, and noticing and communicating horse health and facility maintenance issues with management. Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience working on a professional horse farm(not personal), and be comfortable handling feed, turnout, and holding for the vet/farrier as needed. The property borders a neighboring farm that has a location for feed and hay storage and horse protection in case of severe weather. Applicants should be comfortable operating basic farm equipment including mower, basic landscape tools, fence repair tools, golf cart and basic farm machinery. NO HOUSING.
