The City of St. Peters is seeking a candidate with advanced horticultural and arboricultural knowledge and abilities. Extensive skill in the operation of bucket trucks and chainsaws in addition to the leading techniques in the industry with tree care, plants, landscaping, conservation, stewardship, and park grounds maintenance. This position is on one of the Parks Department's green teams. Work includes all aspects of tree care- planting, watering, pruning, and removals including aerial lift work. Landscape care- planting and maintaining shrubs, perennials, annual flower displays, mulching, weed control, and irrigation systems. Assist with the City's Memorial Program, holiday decorating, and special projects. There are opportunities to continue to build advanced skills in horticulture and arboriculture including certifications, seminars, and on-site and off-site training. Additional work includes crossover crew and departmental work including turf care, athletic fields, concrete installation, and heavy equipment operation.
