The purposes of this position are to assist in providing for the proper use and maintenance of the City's parking facilities and to collect parking fees. Facility supervision work includes taking a periodic inventory of available parking spaces, placing temporary direction signs to available parking, reminding motorists of proper parking requirements, providing visual facility security services, notifying the police of the need for their services, and posting the facility "full" as appropriate. The position performs light maintenance services when not required to be at an attendant's booth or other assigned facility supervisory location. Parking fees are collected from customers according to the City's fee schedule and identified procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Cleans and performs light maintenance to parking attendant booths, storage and common service areas including light bulb replacements, incidental painting, sweeping, shoveling snow from entrances and walkways, and applying deicing chemicals. Advises his/her supervisor of other required facility maintenance e.g., elevator repairs, surface repairs, potential hazards, space striping, and refurbishing stairwells, waiting areas, etc.
Qualifications
Applicants for this position must have graduated from high school or have a graduate equivalent diploma (GED), previous work experience which demonstrates the ability to work in a positive manner with customers, have a valid drivers license, and have no offenses which would prohibit or restrict bonding by any carrier or agent providing coverage to the City.
