Parking Cashier (Seasonal)
Position Summary
Processes day-to-day cash and credit transactions using point of sale systems. Practices excellent customer service skills by greeting guests in a professional and friendly demeanor. Demonstrates a commitment to quality service by knowledgeably informing guests and residents of parking options and rates, as well as local events and amenities. Advocates good will toward the City of Virginia Beach by demonstrating a high degree of professionalism. Is able to maintain an empathetic and composed demeanor in resolving minor customer service issues.

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions
· Must be able to work hours in excess of normally scheduled hours
Duties and Responsibilities
· Verifies and signs for equipment and bank
· Promptly and accurately conducts cash, credit, or debit card transactions using point -of sale systems
· Issues receipts and accurately calculates change for customers
· Incorporates a professional and friendly attitude in greeting guests and acknowledging departing guests
· Employs knowledge of parking options and rates to guide guests
· Informs guests of events, amenities and provides directions
· Establishes good will for the City of Virginia Beach
· Resolves minor customer service issues using excellent communication skills
· Demonstrates ability to accurately count cash and record cash drops
· Monitors vehicle counts
· Follows lot full procedures including moving gates and signs
· Accurate shift reports
· Maintains a clean, orderly, and supplied booth.
· Reviews field guide for procedural issues and policy updates
· Promotes guest safety by maintaining a state of awareness of physical hazards and suspicious activity
· Uses email as a daily communication tool
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 per hour
