candidate who will oversee the office operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Assign, review, train, and evaluate the work of lower-level employees.
· Prepare schedules, seasonal payroll, and various clerical activities and responsibilities surrounding seasonal staff.
· Monitor and oversee fee collection, money banks, and auditing.
· Control parking access to and from park facilities during peak periods.
· Register campers and boaters, issue permits.
· Incumbent will also be called on to answer routine questions and handle complaints from park patrons.
· Candidate must be able to explain park rules and regulations as well as process written information required to meet patron’s needs.
· Incumbent occasionally assists with groundskeeping and the cleaning of office and restrooms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
· Must have the ability to follow written direction, as well as record and document required information.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and park patrons.
· The incumbent must be physically able to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
· Weekend/holiday work will be required.
