Overview: The ranger is front-line staff assigned to maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring lake property while also informing guests of and enforcing lake policies and procedures with a focus on excellent customer service and hospitality
Essential Functions
- Perform routine patrols of lake property, enforcing and collecting lake fees when necessary
- Direct appropriate guests, staff, vendors, or other visitors to proper location, as well as answering any potential guest or customer questions as needed
- Evict trespassers from lake property, communicating with management and/or appropriate authorities as necessary
- Serve the needs of our guests and staff in a spirit of excellent customer service
Additional Functions
- Inspect potential issues or suspicious behaviors or happenings as notified by guests or staff
- Monitor surveillance cameras
- Provide detailed reports of activities and incidents to management
- Maintain a clean work environment, including but not limited to emptying trash, litter patrols, lake trail cleanup, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of and ability to follow all lake protocols, procedures, policies, and other pertinent information

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of customer service experience required
- At least 1 year of security experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR required
- Must be able to work weekends, overnights, and/or holidays as needed
- Agreement and compliance with Lake Gregory employee handbook
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to walk five miles per day
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job
