Whatyou get to do:

The Park President is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure the achievement of operational and financial objectives for SeaWorld San Diego and Sesa. This position is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Parks Operations Office. The Park President will be leading a large team of employees. The position requires excellent business acumen, leadership, communication skills and the ability to execute. You will:

  • Ensures safe operating practices for guests and employees.
  • Drives financial and operational results with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Optimizes performance and financial objectives.
  • Develops and implements plans to drive growth and mitigate shortfalls.
  • Evaluates and improves guest and employee engagement.
  • Leads Legal and Environmental compliance efforts.
  • Develops, shares and adopts best practices and policies to achieve company goals.
  • Supports company mission and purpose. Activates with park experience.
  • Positively leads and influences employees to achieve individual and business objectives.
  • Forms and maintains positive relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements operational systems and process improvements.
  • Monitors performance ensuring teams are meeting monthly targets and goals.
  • Creates an inspiring, collaborative, innovative and results-orientated environment fostering job satisfaction, retention and talent development.

Whatit takes to succeed:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience at vice president or equivalent senior level leadership level required
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience to include developing and driving strategic direction, financial management and leading large teams
  • Theme Park/Hospitality experience a plus
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Willingness to relocate to another SEA property as business need requires, strongly preferred
  • Ability to identify and leverage business opportunities. Proven track record of achieving Profit & Loss targets with solid understanding financial metrics.
  • Ability to think strategically, and objectively. Effectively translates data into actionable insights, strategies and financial plans.
  • Attracts, develops and motives the talent needed for current and future business requirements. Articulates an inspiring vision for the future, establishes high performance expectations and sets example through own behavior.
  • Ensures alignment of individual goals with overall business objectives. Coaches team members to success and holds individuals accountable for achieving results.
  • Balances urgent and effective action, commitment to excellence, taking initiative to resolve problems and work quality.
  • Demonstrates high initiative and provides leadership in a project-oriented environment.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with employees at all levels, board members, external partners and guests.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences.
  • Builds and sustains collaborative relationships at multiple levels in the company.
  • Able to work through complex disagreements and conflict to achieve resolution.
  • Builds trust by including others and by keeping the cross-functional teams focused on the success of the entire company.

175,000 – 200,000 DOE + Bonus & Equity
