Duties Description Seasonal Administrative Assistant/Receptionist Park OfficePlanting Fields is a spectacular 409-acre public garden located on the north shore of Long Island. This former Gold Coast estate features specimen trees, ornamental shrubs, herbaceous plantings, 2 1/2 acres of display and production greenhouses, historic buildings, and a 65 room Tudor revival mansion. The arboretum features one of the most comprehensive exotic and native plant collections in the Northeast.Duties include, but are not limited to:• Answers phones, greets and assists patrons who visit the main office/Issue Permits• Processes mail• Creates letters and charts• Assists employees with Personnel matters• Enters seasonal employees time into a personnel database• Enters purchasing data into financial database• Assisting in processing paperwork for staff training for educational conferences• Orders supplies from Regional Office (toner for printers, office supplies)• Communicates with Regional Office to assist with any assistance they may need• Processes payments on invoices
Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:• Experience with Microsoft Word• Excellent customer service skills
