This position is a Contract. This position is available in the following areas: Boulder/Louisville, Denver/Lakewood, Aurora.

Essential Duties:

  1. Provides a safe, supportive, and positive environment for court ordered Parenting Time visits.
    • Monitors and documents interactions between parent and child on each visit.
    • Coach parents using evidence informed parenting curriculum.
    • Provides positive and constructive feedback for parents at each visit.
    • Schedules visits based on the needs of the families.
    • Develops Parenting Time goals for parents.
    • Works in collaboration with, and as an essential member of PPCH Behavioral Health team.
    • Works continuously to improve services and supports.
  2. Works to ensure that individuals receiving services are healthy, safe, and valued by others.
    • Respects and listens to children and parents.
    • Consults with appropriate professionals regarding cases, records, and rights.
    • Provides ongoing communications with therapists, supervisors, team members, family members and all other stakeholders regarding any issues, concerns, problems.
    • Assesses the visitation locations, interactions, and activities on a regular basis and reports concerns to supervisor.
  3. Complies with PPCH, State, Federal, and other applicable guidelines and regulations.
    • Completes all required training, including annual refreshers, according to established timelines.
    • Is familiar with PPCH and other regulating agencies’ policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Monitors, completes, and provides required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Promptly communicates and reports all incidents, medical emergencies, or other concerns to appropriate agencies, teams, or individuals.
  4. Maintains respectful and professional relationships with individuals receiving services, staff, guardians, family members, and team members.
    • Maintains confidentiality of individuals receiving services and PPCH operations.
    • Attends team meetings.
    • Pursues partnerships and teamwork.
    • Gathers input from individuals receiving services, supporting staff, and involved agencies.

Other Duties:

  • Attends meetings and staffings as needed or requested.

Qualifications:

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, child development, or related field required.
  • Required training will be provided and must be successfully completed.

Experience:

  • Experience working with families and/or children highly preferred.
  • A minimum of one year using Microsoft Office or other software required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective listening skills, even when non-traditional communication is used.
  • Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of trauma informed services preferred.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to respectfully address significant issues of health and safety while supporting an individual’s choices.
  • Ability and willingness to complete required trainings and learn PPCH operations and systems.
  • Ability to independently create and manage a work schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to accurately measure, document, and report on observable data.
  • Ability and willingness to testify in court, as needed.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license, and ability to meet PPCH’s driving requirements.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work may be conducted on weekends and evenings, based on families’ needs.
  • Work is conducted in private homes, workplaces, and community settings. Work will occasionally be conducted in a typical office environment.
  • Driving throughout the Denver Metro area required on a regular basis.
  • This job requires the use of a personal vehicle with insurance that meets PPCH requirements.
  • This job may require providing transportation to children using a personal vehicle.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of approximately 15 lbs.
