Paratransit Driver (Class C)

Salary Pay: $19.50 per hour while in Training (2wks) / $19.50 after training process.

Office Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Driver Job Requirements:

• Must Be 21 years old
• Possess a valid CA driver’s license
• Have at least 3 years of driving record.
• All applicants must provide a current and original driving record (K-4 DMV Printout) from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The print out must not be more than 30days old.
• Clean driving record (no DUI’s, accidents, or convictions totaling more than three (3) points, or any single violation of two (2) or more points
• Basic Knowledge of the Los Angeles freeway system and surrounding areas
• Ability to pass a medical examination, drug screening, and a criminal background investigation following all applicable laws and contract requirements
• Ability to communicate in English both verbal and written
• Ability to push and pull the riders in wheelchairs
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, secure wheelchairs, and conduct vehicle inspections
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to use full range of hearing, speech, and vision
• Drivers are responsible for transporting our riders in a safe and courteous manner.
