The Autism Center of Nebraska, Inc. has an immediate opening for a FULL-TIMEParaprofessional to join our Transition Day Program (Monday-Friday). In addition, a $500 Hiring Bonus.

Para professionals assist special needs students under the direction of a certified teacher. The para professional will assist and care for the physical, emotional health and safety of students, and promote dignity in their relationships.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Working with one student or a small group

· Assist students with individualized work tasks

· Assist in their implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP)

· Monitor and record evidence of student’s learning and progress

· Support students and assist them in developing appropriate social skills

· Assist with personal care and hygiene

· Provide support for individual students in the classroom and out in the community

· Maintain confidentiality of information

· Accept direction and supervision

· Understand and follow verbal and written instructions

Requirements:

• Must have a Drivers License.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• Must be able to pass APS/CPS, Sex Offender, and background checks.

Certifications/Trainings:

• FirstAid/CPR
• Medication Aide
• MANDT
