Job Summary
- The Paramedic is a trained and skilled medical professional who is proficient in assessing, evaluating and treating patients under Nursing, Physician, and/or Advanced Mid-Level Provider direction and/or supervision.
- Administer basic and advanced medical care as directed to include, but not limited to; IV fluids, IV medications, vital signs, hemorrhage control, airway management, CPR, immobilization of possible fractures, oxygen therapy, administration of medications, and cardiac monitor interpretation.
- The Paramedic may provide care, for the patient within their scope of practice, in accordance with facility policy and procedures, and identified areas of competency while caring for patients on Ground Transports.
Education and/or Experience
- Technical degree required.
- 1-2 years of experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Nebraska required.
- Basic Life Support (CLS) within 30 days of hire required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire required.
Work Schedule
- Rotating, day/evening/night shifts, every third weekend, every third holiday, every third call; 72 hours every 2 weeks
