Functional Job Description

Position Title: Paramedic / Fire Instructor
Personnel Group: Content Creator
Position Reports to: Project Manager

Job Summary:

Provide effective instruction by using current skills and knowledge in courses assigned by the Lead Faculty. Instructors will need to create a learning environment that facilitates active learning and encourages students to fulfill their academic potential.

Essential functions of the Job:

One of the largest goals for this position is to develop continuing education courses that meet the needs of today’s Fire and EMS Providers in an effective manner. This instructor must be able to:

• Create new quality content that piques the interest of our customers;
• EMT-P Provider with the knowledge and skills to research all related topics to create course outlines;
• Once course outlines are created, the instructor will create a CE course in the form of a video recording to use in our online library.

Position Requirements:

• Paramedic with teaching experience required;
• TCFP FFI and FFII Certification with teaching experience preferred;
• Must be able to operate specialized laboratory equipment and audio-visual instructional materials;
• Must be knowledgeable in the content that is being delivered and be competent in communication, leadership skills, and the ability to plan, direct, and supervise the work of learners;
• Maintain current licensure, and level of expertise, and be aware of current changes in discipline by work experience, conferences, continuing education units, course work, journals, etc.

Video Format:

EMS-Courses must be 45 minutes for 1 CEU,

75 minutes for 1.5 CEU,

and 105 minutes for a 2 CEU.

FIRE-Courses must be 60 minutes for 1 CEU,

90 minutes for 1.5 CEU,

and 120 minutes for 2 CEU.

Text Based Article: Author shall provide an acceptable Final CE Article in Google Docs with a word count of 8,000 for 1 CEU,

16,000 words for 1.5 CEU,

or 22,000 words for a 2 CEU.

Compensation will be as follows:

EMS Video/Text Based Article: EMT-P:

●Compensation is $1300.00 for a 45 minute video or 8,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

● Compensation is $1800.00 for a 75 minute video or 16,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

● Compensation is $2500.00 for a 105 minute video or 22,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

Fire Video/Text Based Article: Firefighter:

● Compensation is $1000.00 for a 45 minute video or 8,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

● Compensation is $1500.00 for a 75 minute video or 16,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

● Compensation is $2000.00 for a 105 minute video or 22,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

Fire Specialty Video/Text Based Article: Hazmat Technician, Fire Inspector:

● Compensation is $1300.00 for a 45 minute video or 8,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

● Compensation is $1800.00 for a 75 minute video or 16,000+ word text based completed CEU course.

● Compensation is $2500.00 for a 105 minute video or 22,000+ word text based completed CEU course.
