Position Overview

- Selected incumbents will start at the first step of the salary range in accordance with the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) contract.
- This position will work a 4-day, 38-hour work week (Subject to change based on operational needs).

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or the equivalent
- Must possess a current certificate as a Paramedic at time of application or be currently enrolled in Paramedic School and have a Paramedic Certificate by time of final offer
- Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
- Must successfully obtain and maintain a Southern Nevada Health District Paramedic Attendant's License within six (6) months of employment as a condition of continued employment
- Must successfully complete the Henderson Fire Department Paramedic Internship within the time limits established by the department as a condition of continued employment
- Must successfully complete probationary requirements as established by the department as a condition of continued employment
- Desirable: Current paramedic licensure through the SNHD
- Desirable: ACLS/PALS/EMS Instructors certification
