Students in the Journey Program range from grades 4 to age 21 and receive special education services primarily under Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Developmental/Cognitive Disability(DCD) criteria. Students at Journey require individualized curriculum, a high staff to student ratio, in a customized Federal Setting IV learning environment. Students in the Journey Program have been referred from an ISD 742 school or transition program due to their unique and significant needs in the areas of self-regulation, social/emotional, and behavior. This setting allows for highly individualized and flexible programming, so that students’ behavioral and sensory needs are met while building functional skills and increasing their independence.
