Para Educator / Nanny For 7 and 5 Year Olds - Boulder, CO

My Boulder Babysitter + Nanny is hiring on behalf of the following family looking for a Part-Time Nanny AND/OR a Para-Educator who can assist their son at his school:

Ideal Start Date: is April 29th, 2024

School Year Schedule:

The schedule during the school year, Apr-May 23rd, and August 19th onward is as follows

- Tuesday and Thursday: 11 am - 5:30 pm

- Wednesday and Friday: 11 am - 4 pm

Additionally, if the nanny is a paraeducator or teacher willing to learn, the hours would be extended as follows:

- Monday: 7 am - 11 am

- Tuesday and Thursday: 7 am - 5:30 pm

- Wednesday and Friday: 7 am - 4 pm

Summer Schedule: May 24th - August 18th

- Monday and Wednesday: 4 flexible hours

- Tuesday and Thursday: 7 am -5:30 pm

- Friday: 8am - 4pm

Pay: ~$27.00/hour

Job Description:
Two parents, predominantly working outside the home, are in search of a nanny to care for their two children, aged 5 and 7. Our 7 year old son has Autism Spectrum Disorder and can be rigid yet he is bright and affectionate and we have several tactics for working with him so everyone has a good time, our 5 Year old daughter is a delight to be around, she is happy, excited about everything and will make you her best friend. She adores her brother. They reside in Gunbarrel, featuring a neighborhood park and a summer-friendly swimming pool. If the nanny can assist in Para Educator work at our son's school, the responsibilities include assisting the kids in preparing for school and providing transportation to and from their schools (school hours: 8-11 am and 7:40 am-3 pm). Otherwise, we seek a Part Time nanny to start at 11 am, with the option to be Full Time in the summer. The nanny manages school pickups and drop-offs on specific days. The essential duties encompass transportation, engaging with the kids after-school, organizing and aiding in cleanup activities, handling children's laundry, and preparing dinner using a rotation of simple meals. The scope of responsibilities and compensation is open to negotiation, with the possibility of higher pay for additional house manager tasks, such as light household chores, kitchen tidying, dishwasher activities, household laundry, meal kit preparation, and miscellaneous tasks like accompanying a child to select a birthday present for a friend and assisting in wrapping it. The family maintains a generally tidy household, undergoes weekly professional house cleaning, and offers the provision of a car for use during the week.

Our perfect nanny would have experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and be patient, positive and energetic. Our nanny would problem-solve issues in collaboration with our kids. Our nanny would be proactive. Our perfect Para Educator would have experience with Autism/Neurodiverse children, Experience/interest in early childhood education, psychology or mental health
