Position Highlights
- Searching for a Palliative CareMedical Director to be a dynamic physician leader and further develop an inpatient Palliative Care program.
- Strong support from administration, hospital medicine team, specialists, advanced practice providers, and the clinical team.
- Will work as part of a team and assist patients and families with making decisions related to their illness, no matter the diagnosis or stage of disease while working to improve the quality of life for both patients and families.
- Aid in treating complex symptoms, offer emotional and psychosocial support and provide an opportunity to discuss and establish treatment goals.
- Board certified in Palliative Care preferred.
- Palliative Care or Hospice experience preferred.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Palliative Care staff and providers.
- Forge consensus during organizational change. Cascade strategic initiatives through professional practice ensuring high quality professional practice standards and coordinated patient transitions from acute to post-acute services.
- Champion financial stewardship while modeling patient centered care.
