Base pay is $15.00+$1.00 shift differential. Monday-Friday

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Material Handler I will aid in the moving and stocking of materials including. When performing duties within the Plant, will also assist the production line in packing as needed. The Material Handler will perform general labor duties within the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by hand or using manual or electric hand trucks.
• Pick and sort goods before loading or unloading boxes or trucks
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Stage materials in locations such as transit areas using pallets or cargo boards
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Record damage reports and maintain daily logs
• Install protective devices for bracing
• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected
• Maintain a clean workspace and move waste from production line and other areas to the dumpster
• Assist production line as needed to pack materials

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

• 1 yr experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment performing manual labor/pallet jack and shrink wrapping
• Good oral and written communication skills
