ABOUT US: The mission of The Paleta Bar is to provide customers with a unique experience through the many possibilities of unique popsicle creations, allowing customers to love every bite of food thanks to the use of the finest ingredients. Handmade daily using the best ingredients to create a fruity base, our paletas are high-quality popsicles, which are not only delicious but also healthy. The popsicles come in a unique format that present many refreshing flavors to indulge in. The authentic fresh gourmet Mexican popsicles, along with premium dips and toppings, offer endless combinations. Our customers can explore the mouthwatering paletas that are enhanced to please the local tastes which are a real temptation. We offer many other treats and drinks, including Aguas Frescas, Mexican Street Corn, Shakes, and much more!

JOB SUMMARY: As a Paleta Creator, your function is to amaze customers with an extraordinary experience through the endless possibilities of Paleta creations we offer. Paleta Creators are the heart of soul of The Paleta Bar, and are responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while cultivating a spirit of friendliness at all times. Paleta Creators help customers’ imaginations come true, provide recommendations for new flavors, and help operate our shop to make it a fun place to work!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a one-of-a-kind, marvelous experience to every customer.
• Craft custom Paletas and other food/beverages for sale
• Familiarize yourself with The Paleta Bar menu and offer recommendations to clients as needed.
• Upsell products to clients during their visit.
• Attend community events – prepping food/beverages, packing, selling/tabling at events, setup/cleanup, etc.
• Support the team in operating the shop, including opening/closing the store, food prep, food and utensil stocking, general cleanup, inventory management, etc.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Report to assigned shifts on time and ready.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clear communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, preparation and presentation.
• Ability to handle money and basic math skills to operate the register.
• Endure working in a long-standing position for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and maneuver food and drink containers which may weigh up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Preferred (but not required): bilingual in English/Spanish
