Short Description
Frostburg State University, Department of Visual Arts, seeks applications for a part-time Adjunct Lecturer to teach one introductory painting course beginning in Spring 2024. Direct position inquiries to Dr. Travis English, Chair of the Visual Arts Department, at twenglish@frostburg.edu.
The Department of Visual Arts at FSU provides studio art and art history instruction for our Art and Design major and Fine Arts, Graphic Design, and Art History minors. We also serve the General Education Program through our Art Appreciation and Visual Imagery courses. We foster a welcoming, collegial, and collaborative professional environment for all faculty.

Description of Ongoing/New Duties
The successful candidate must be committed to undergraduate learning. The candidate is expected to teach a wide array of painting methods. Responsibilities may include introductory and advanced courses in painting. The candidate should also demonstrate an active creative practice.
Minimum Qualifications
MFA degree in painting or Master's degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
A record of undergraduate studio art instruction.
