Job Summary:

As a Paint Technician at Folding Guard, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint and coatings to our products, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our stringent standards. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of paint application techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primer.
  • Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve desired colors and textures.
  • Operate and maintain spray equipment and other painting tools.
  • Apply paint and coatings to products in accordance with specified procedures and quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Record and report on inventory levels of paints and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production goals.
  • Continuously seek improvements in the painting process to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on new painting techniques and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in industrial or automotive painting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to mix and match colors accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, such as heat, humidity, and around fumes.
