Paint Line Operator

Description: Architectural Grille, a Division of Giumenta Corporation, located at 42 Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11215 is a family-owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Line Operator to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the finishing process of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of the location and operation of emergency stops, cables, guards, and resets on various parts of the Paint Line.

· Experience with loading paperboards correctly onto the back stand and threading piles into the winder in the correct position/sequence

· Performing various production tasks and quality control checks

· Must adhere to safety/policies and promote a safe and clean work environment.

· Promptly report any safety violations/incidents to the Factory Manager

· Make minor machine adjustments to reduce interruptions and ensure quality products.

· Ensure pending and completed jobs are assigned the correct identification labels.

· Stack finished jobs in the correct configuration for transport.

· Safely cut and discharge finished coils from the exit section of the Paint Line.

· Monitor the Paint Line’s speed and operating conditions to ensure that line tension and drive systems are operating correctly.

· Complete any other duties as assigned by the Factory Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Must demonstrate proficiency as a Paint Line Operator

· Knowledge of the paint application, techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes

· Familiarity with operating and maintaining Paint Line equipment.

· Ability to interpret technical specifications and quality standards.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

· Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

· Effective communication and teamwork skills

· Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)

· Neat and organized.

· Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

· Ability to adapt to change.

Working Conditions:

· Physical stamina and dexterity for prolonged periods

· May have to carry heavy items (up to 50lbs)

· Near vision - the ability to see things at close range

Pay Scale: $18 - $25/ Hour

Schedule: 7AM – 3:30PM

Bonus Bucket: (Based on hourly pay)

Introductory Period: 90 Days
