San Antonio Pain practice has an opening for a compassionate and skilled Pain Management physician to join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, as well as a strong commitment to improving our patients’ quality of life. Typical duties and responsibilities of this position are:
· Evaluate, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. Reach an informed diagnosis based on the patient’s medical history and current condition.
· Perform interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and implantable devices, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
· Prescribe medications or drugs and provide comprehensive instructions for administration. Manage medications and interventions as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
· Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team. Develop personalized Pain Management plans, utilizing a combination of therapies.
· Educating patients on Pain Management techniques and lifestyle modifications.
· Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care.
· Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars.

Job Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Must have a valid and unrestricted medical license with a DEA registration in the state of Texas
- Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine.
- Board eligible or Board Certified in Pain Medicine
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
