The Pain Management Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the physician in the evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic pain. The Medical Assistant will work closely with the physician to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care possible.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the physician in the evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic pain
• Obtain patient history and vital signs
• Assist with procedures such as injections and nerve blocks
• Administer medications as directed by the physician
• Document patient care in electronic medical record
• Communicate with patients regarding their care and treatment plan
• Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up care
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant
• Experience in a Pain Management setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
