Case Assignments
Medial branch blocks, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, discography, peripheral nerve stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, prolotherapy, disc regenerative therapy, peripheral joint injections, and trigger point injections.
Shifts
Outpatient clinic setting coverage Monday - Friday, 8am -5pm. Minimal call shared with other providers.

Beyond his medical prowess, he has assumed leadership roles, serving on the Southeast Pain & Spine Care Quality Liaison team for over eight years and joining the Physician Executive Committee in 2020, where he currently holds the position of Medical Director. His unwavering commitment to his profession has earned him recognition from his peers, with multiple appearances as a Top Doctor in Charlotte Magazine.
Dr. Khan's expertise extends to highly specialized areas within pain management. He is proficient in multiple interventional therapeutic procedures. His extensive skill set allows him to provide comprehensive and effective pain management solutions to his patients.

Southeast Pain & Spine Care (SEPSC) is a comprehensive and patient-centered pain management practice with a dedicated team of 10 Physicians and 12 APPs. We have 15 locations throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Most locations are staffed with 2 MDs and 2 APPs that work on alternate days.
Requirements
Responsibilities

• Develop a custom plan of care by assessing the patient, performing a physical examination, reviewing medical history and ordering necessary diagnostic testing.
• Provide patient education regarding their condition(s) and plan of care (including procedures and/or medications).
• Coordination of care with SEPSC providers and other healthcare providers.
• Providing hope, compassion, and sound medical advice to our patients and our community.
• Eagerness to develop new patient referrals and community awareness of our services.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information as stipulated in the HIPAA Privacy Rules.
• Teaching, mentoring, and supervising mid-level practitioners.

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia or neurology
• Completion of Pain Management fellowship
• Currently licensed as a physician
• Collaborate with other providers and leadership to maintain a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Interpret and explain imaging (X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, etc.) and test results to identify patient conditions, recommend appropriate treatments, and provide plan of care details.
