Federal Student Intern (PAID)

Scranton Army Ammunition Plant - Scranton, PA

Summer 2024, 10-Week Program

(this is a Civilian position supporting a Federal Agency within the Department of Defense)

• Interacting with engineering firms and contractors.
• Attending meetings and walking down jobs in the field with engineer and contractors.
• Documenting project progress/schedule tracking- taking and filing pictures of construction progress and documenting project development on schedules and drawings.
• Assisting in planning and implementation of plant projects.
• Building Inspection Data Calls
• Environmental Projects/Programs and Data Calls
• Utilities monitoring and Energy Program actions.
• Other duties as assigned by Engineer.

• Data Science
• Data Analytics/Management
• Engineering - Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Materials

Compensation to You:

Intern awardees will be paid a $540.00 weekly stipend ($5,400.00 total internship).

Eligibility Requirements:

The ideal candidate shall be a student of at least

• Junior or Senior class standing in undergraduate school, or
• A Graduate student who is currently enrolled or has graduated within the six months prior to the start of the period of performance.
• Each candidate shall possess at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Individual shall be enrolled in a Minority Serving Institution such as a:

• Historically Black College or University (HBCU),
• Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), or
• Tribal College (TC)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a Background Investigation.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
