INTERNSHIP POSITION SUMMARY The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a part-time Community Engagement Intern in the spring of 2024 for 12 weeks. The internship will be between February to April 2024, approximately scheduled 10-15 hours per week. The intern will work directly with the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Community Engagement Coordinator in the museum’s Learning & Interpretation department.
The internship will allow the postholder to develop programming alongside the Community Engagement team. The intern will work on projects to kick off the art making studio and Art on the Rise program. These programs will focus on collaborating with diverse community partners and increasing awareness in BIPOC communities.
ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working under the direction of the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Community Engagement Coordinator, duties include, but are not limited to the following: Research, design, and help implement new programs with the Community Engagement team. Research potential sites for the Art Museum’s mobile art gallery. Develop online tools and presence for the mobile art gallery.
Assist with budgeting and logistics. Work cross functionally with museum departments. Other duties as assigned.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS Undergraduate student or recent graduate with studying art administration or museum studies, or other related field. Non-profit experience a plus. Strong attention to detail.
