Packer/Warehouse Worker

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Work as directed by the Head Miller/Plant Manager in the packing operation which includes:

-Preparing supersacks, paper bags, gaylord box and pallets

-Inspecting outbound trucks for sanitation and structural integrity, recording and documenting inspection

-Ensuring inbound / outbound trucks are properly sealed

-Operating a packing line

-Stacking bags and pallets

-Operating a forklift and stretch wrapper

-Verifying at regularly scheduled intervals that package weights are accurate

-Assist the truck loader and shift miller as needed

-Complete assigned cleaning and maintenance activities

-Proactively offer facility and system improvements

-Responsibility to report any issues involving food safety and sanitation

-Responsibility to report any observed unusual activity regarding site security

-Actively participate in workplace safety and food safety training

-Responsibility to comply with all food safety and work place safety policies

-Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred

Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions vocalized or in print

Strong oral and written communication skills; requires telephone conversations and face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams

Willingness to work all shifts and weekends when required

Physically able to perform all milling requirements including but not limited to:

-Ability to walk stairs and climb up and down bulk trailers during the course of a nine hour shift

-General cleaning

-General mill maintenance and repair

Job Type: Full-time
