Packaging/Labeling Technician

What will you do?
Manage the day to day work for LCC and support printing for packaging and manufacturing
2nd checks for all printed labels, logbooks, reconciliation pages
Responsible for label room 126 clean up (all incoming labels go to room 126 and the lead can coordinate with ops on the inventory and have it placed into correct storage bins)
Checking all incoming labels from packaging engineering team as they get approved by clients (lead will second check and file them away accordingly)
Coordinate any corrections needed by the records team and either fix or take to the proper person for correction.
Work with the planners for any half sheet questions (if a planner needs to correct a half sheet, the lead will communicate and correct with the planner before the printing and staging can take place.
Check all equipment (printers, scanners, scales, label counter to make sure they are within calibration)
Inventory cycle counting
Handling any requisitions or requests from business management and planning (there are requests to pick labels and adjust inventory)
Controlling the inventory of all ENVAL items (label paper/ribbons) this is something that needs to be kept an eye on because packaging can run out if it is not kept up with.
Remove finished goods from the packaging line or processing suites, print/apply labels and enter Finished Goods in the ERP system.
Monitors packaging schedule to ensure packaging jobs are staged and delivered in a timely manner.
Works with cross trains with the warehouse staging personnel to ensure the effective release, staging and flow of materials.
How will you get here?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to train on the sit down and stand up forklift
1+ years of experience in ISO or cGMP regulated manufacturing environment
Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities with capability to leverage diverse resources, respond quickly, understand impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, build collaborative relationships and understand internal and external customer needs
ERP system knowledge and a basic understanding of cost accounting/standard manufacturing financials
Experience with Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Systems and Tools (or similar Continuous Improvement and Lean Systems)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and MS Word
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work with numerous departments and shifts
Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and inter-departmental responsibilities
Must ensure all team members work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials while adhering to ergonomic guidelines
Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed

Physical Requirements
Ability to operate a walk behind forklift (walkie stacker)
Position requires wearing personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, various styles of dust masks or respirators, safety glasses, safety shoes, and scrubs or modified gowning
Ability to hand scoop 5 lbs. intermittently throughout the work day
Ability to manipulate/handle drums weighing up to 60kg and lift containers and/or tooling weighing up to 20kg intermittently throughout the work day
