Packaging Team Lead (2nd Shift, 3pm-11pm)

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for monitoring Machine Operators, Stagers and Line Workers on the Pack 1 team in addition to writing SOP's, training new employees and working with their supervisor on process improvements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

• Safely operate packaging and labeling equipment to specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Capable of operating all equipment in Packaging (includes blisters, manual and labeling area)
• Understand and can accurately complete all necessary documentation
• Control over the counter (OTC) label storage area
• Create and maintain department related guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Provide direction and lead team in absence of supervisor
• Train coworkers and temporary workers
• Coach employee behaviors, provide recommendations for employee advancement, and contribute to employee evaluations
• Work with fellow employees in moving through Performance Development Path
• Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies
• Display and promote company values (ASPIRE: Attitude, Safety, Passion, Integrity, Relationship, and Evolve)
• Firm understanding and compliance with company's Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Practices
• Regular attendance
• Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma/GED required
• A minimum of 1+ years' of management and/or leadership experience preferred
• A minimum of 2+ years' of experience in a relatable field preferred
• Experience with ERP software preferred
• Knowledge of and experience with preventative maintenance programs preferred
• Knowledge of GMP's, OSHA rules and regulations preferred
• Knowledge of material inspection methods and techniques preferred
