Packaging Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Packaging Operations: Execute packaging tasks according to company standards and procedures. This includes wrapping, boxing, labeling, and palletizing products for shipment.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all packaged items meet quality standards and are free from defects or damages. Conduct visual inspections and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.

• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by documenting packaged items and updating inventory systems as required.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing packaging duties. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.

• Forklift Operation: Upon completion of specific company qualifications, safely operate a forklift to transport materials and products within the warehouse. Adhere to forklift safety procedures and maintain equipment in good working condition.

• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of packaging tasks.

• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage areas and packaging equipment. Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or packaging environment is preferred.

• Physical Strength: Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor consistently throughout the workday.

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality standards while working in a fast-paced environment.

• Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
