Job Summary
Timberline is America’s largest feeder insect farm. Here at Timberline, our Packaging department is responsible for cupping, packaging, labeling, and boxing the products that will be used for resale in stores across the country. As a Packaging Worker, you will learn the process of preparing several of our products including our Reptile Lunch Boxes, Worm Combo Packs, Horn Worm Packs, and Nightcrawlers. You may be a great fit in Packaging if you have production or assembly line experience and have the competitive edge to reach and exceed production quotas. To work in Packaging, you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, squat, and move about freely in the room for the entirety of your shift without limitations. You must be okay working around and handling bugs and worms.
Job Duties
Some of the things you will do as a Packaging Worker include:
- Prepare Reptile Lunch Boxes by assembling product, using industrial labeling machine to add product label, and boxing and palletizing finished product as it comes off the line.
- Assemble Worm Combo Packs by hot gluing two containers of worms together and applying appropriate product label.
- Apply heat seal to finish Horn Worm and Fruit Fly packaging.
- Be able to meet or exceed quota in all production processes.
- Cross-train to assist in other departments when orders for the day are completed.
- Follow all instructions and perform other tasks assigned by the Lead or Manager.
Schedule
The schedule for Packaging is a fixed day-shift schedule as follows:
- Monday: 6:00 am-4:30 pm (with 1 hour lunch)
- Tuesday: 7:30 am-4:30 pm (with 1 hour lunch)
- Wednesday: 6:00 am-4:30 pm (with 1 hour lunch)
- Thursday: 7:30 am-4:30 pm (with 1 hour lunch)
- Friday: 7:00 am-12:00 pm
