The opportunity
Under general supervision, troubleshoots the packaging processes, provides support to the site in the areas of project coordination, follow through, problem solving, efficiency studies and the identification of process improvement opportunities.
How you’ll spend your day
All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.
- Troubleshoots equipment and processes in the Packaging areas.
- Interfaces with Quality Assurance and Research and Development on Process requirements for new and current products.
- Identify recurrent problems and to recommend and implement the upgrades of current equipment and the purchase of new equipment and regulatory requirements.
- Assist manager with on-site transfer projects and product scale-up activities.
- Researches and recommends improvements in Packaging and control systems.
- Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations and all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Prepares capital expenditure requests.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
