Packaging Machine Tender, 2nd Shift - (Internal Job Posting)

As an a Machine Tender, performs duties associated with the tending of the variety of packaging equipment in the department including; the primary, initial duty consisting of the continuous tending of confectionery printing equipment including the ability to independently make adjustments to maintain high print quality; performs the filling and cleaning of ink fountains, insures proper ink consistency through thinning with proper solvents; performs independent adjustments and corrections to the piece of equipment to which the tender is assigned, insuring efficient operation; and inspects all production to insure compliance with specifications for that equipment. Performs cursory preventative upkeep on assigned equipment. Performs the safe operation of power lift equipment including specialized (narrow-aisle) equipment.

The current wage rate for this Job Classification is Group 3 of CBU Contract.

This position will be awarded to a qualified applicant in accordance with merit, ability, and seniority provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
