This position is at our Natural Formulas Manufacturing Division which is located in Hayward, California.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs Packaging line employees, the use of equipment, supplies, documentation, and labor assigned to coordinate and run a single Packaging Line to produce a quality finished product.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets-up, operates, adjusts, and monitors all Packaging Line equipment and devices in a safe manner. Must be able to use all equipment in Packaging and be able to setup, assemble, disassemble, and clean them.
- Understands and maintains all appropriate documentation in a clear and thorough manner.
- Must be capable of training and motivating operators assigned.
- Capable of cross training from bottle line to other Packaging lines or areas as needed.
- Able to monitor the line performance to maintain set standards of each job.
- Be able to adjust equipment to achieve proper speed time standards for each job.
- Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of employees.
- May be assigned multi line responsibilities for short duration if needed.
- Responsible for ensuring line is cleared between runs as outlined in the SOP.
- Responsible for completing First Article Checks or assigning them to operators to complete before running any job.
- Follow all safety and lockout/tagout SOP’s.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience as a lead in an FDA regulated Packaging facility.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to communicate in a productive, professional manner.
- Forklift certifiable.
- Proven leadership, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Computer skills: proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
