Main Purpose of the Job:
Support packaging development efforts in the Nestle USA Technical Applications Group (TAG) by ensuring all packaging data including Specifications, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Finished Good Documents (FERT Documents), Documents of Compliance (DOCs), and others are complete, accurate, and stored appropriately. With ownership of the documentation and storage protocol, you'll collaborate with Packaging Technologist as they develop and specify material to ensure the necessary information is captured for compliance. You'll collaborate with Packaging Material Experts on specification structure and enable speed through accurate approval submission. By owning and maintaining the document storage protocol and system, you will enable speed and efficiency by ensuring anyone is able to access complete and accurate information when necessary. As this role spans all NUSA divisions, you will be able to provide insights from the data to drive speed and efficiency in specification update plans.
Packaging Specifications

  1. Maintain the accurate input of packaging data into Packaging Specifications in SAP and related documents across all spend categories and NUSA divisions.
  2. Collaborate with Packaging Developers to ensure all fields are complete and accurate prior to approval submission.
  3. Submit specifications for approval to relevant Expert approvers ahead of key project deadlines.
  4. Collaborate with Material Experts on updates to specification templates and other initiatives rand ensure these changes are reflected in the data.
  5. Analyze data to identify gaps in completion, accuracy, or revision timing and develop plans to close gaps.
  6. Continuing to develop your own competency & ability in the system in order to identify additional process improvement areas to drive speed & agility.

Packaging Safety & Compliance - Documents of Compliance (DOCs)
  1. For new materials or vendors collaborate with the Packaging Developer to complete the necessary DOCs for compliance.
  2. Collaborate with Packaging Safety and Compliance Expert for DOC review and approval as well as storage protocol.
  3. Create and manage plan to highlight outdated DOCs for review and lead efforts to review or deactivate.
  4. Ensure any key DOC milestones post specification approval are met with any actions closed out.

Document Storage and Maintenance
  1. Create and own the document storage protocol ensuring consistency across materials and divisions.
  2. Ensure content is compatible with relevant AI learning and search tools.
  3. Leverage digital solutions to automate repetitive activities, improve/ease tracking, improve user/requestor experience and improve efficiency.
  4. Continue to optimize storage as new tools come available and lead training efforts for the broader team.

Finished Good Documentation - FERTs
  1. Create all Finished Good documentation (FERT) for each SKU to ensure completion and consistency.
  2. Collaborate with Master Data to ensure any format compatibilities are resolved.
  3. Inform and update team on changes to Master Data processes and requirements that may fall on TAG Packaging as a result.

Key member of networks within the Nestle in the Market (NiM) & internal to TAG
  1. Explore best practices and learn the ways of working from across businesses and markets.
  2. Identify & execute opportunities for standardization to drive speed & agility.
  3. Drive the development & knowledge transfer to relevant Superusers across TAG.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
• Bachelors degree in technical or data management fields preferred
• Position requires approximately 0-10% travel
EXPERIENCE:
• 1-2 years of experience with SAP/GLOBE, SAP-RM, H2M, LORA
• Experience in data management, including data analytics tools, architecture and visualization.
• Familiarity with packaging specifications and structure
• Familiarity with Microsoft suite including SharePoint and PowerBI
• Experience working in cross functional teams, preferably in manufacturing environment.

• Highly organized
• Ability to drive results against project deadlines
• Courage & Collaboration- challenge associates to provide necessary information to comply with documentation standards
• High autonomous learning agility - Continuing to develop your own competency & ability in the systems. Resourceful to independently fill any gaps between required tasks and own current knowledge.
• Ability to document business processes/steps, understanding of cross functional collaboration and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborative - innate ability to build/manage stakeholder relationships through proactive, clear communication & influence/negotiate to drive decisions/actions/solutions
• Office 365 including Teams, SharePoint and Power BI. Leverage these systems to stay organized, track progress, manage data and communicate effectively.
