Packaging Crew

Ithaca Beer Company is seeking to hire a Packaging Operator to join our team. Packaging Operators are responsible for running packaging equipment (Keg, Bottle and Can lines) safely and efficiently during a packaging shift while keeping an eye on their team members so that they may offer help where needed. A Packaging Operator must also be able to multi-task and work with the team in a positive and communicative manner while maintaining a "do anything" attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment in safe and efficient manner while focusing on quality
• Following SOP’s
• Perform quality control checks on finished product
• Accurate reporting on existing packaging logs and QC paperwork
• Forklift operations
• Maintain equipment (cleaning, light maintenance)
• Inventory control
• Tracking raw materials throughout a packaging run
• Communicate effectively and work well with other departments
• Achieve department goals for safety, quality, efficiency and cost
• Assistance with shipping and receiving (loading and unloading trucks and coolers with use of forklift and hand cart)

• Flexible schedule between M-F, 6am and 6pm

Starting Pay $15.00-18.00 depending on experience.

Physical Job requirement:

Repetitive handling of 20+ lb cases and kegs
