Package Room Clerk

Summary:

Provide outstanding guest service based on Rosen Standards by making sure that letters and packages are properly sent and delivered. Maintain an accurate inventory of guest and internal department packages moving through the Package Room. Utilize computer/manual systems following Rosen Package Room Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s).

Responsibilities:

• Receive and log incoming packages, ensuring accurate recording of package details such as recipient's name, date, and time of receipt.
  
• Inspect packages for any damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor or department.
• Organize and categorize packages in the Package Room or designated storage area.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Package Room, ensuring proper storage and easy access to packages.
• Collaborate with other delivery personnel to ensure smooth package drop-off and pick-up operations.
  
• Notify guest or department of package arrivals through various communication channels (e.g., email, phone calls, or designated notification system).
• Assist guest or departments in retrieving their packages promptly and accurately, verifying their identification, and ensuring proper package handover.
• Address guest or department inquiries related to packages, tracking numbers, and delivery statuses in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
• Process outgoing packages and coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of package inventory, tracking systems, and resident package preferences.
• Proactively identify and address package delivery issues, such as misrouted packages or damaged items.
• Stay updated on the building's policies and procedures related to package handling and security.
• Collaborate with other department staff, such as concierge or front desk personnel, to ensure seamless coordination of package-related activities.
• This position requires extensive walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, or one to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
