Overnight Supervisor

FUNCTION

This position is responsible for ensuring housing site(s) are fully staffed as far as coverage and will directly supervise Overnight Youth Counselors. Overnight supervisors will address staff and resident concerns by resolving grievances and following up on incident reports. They will ensure the daily needs of the residents, staff, and site(s) are met.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES

 Provide Overnight Supervisory support and conduct regular supervision with Youth Counselors

o Overnight Full time / Part time staff; weekly or bi-weekly (as needed)

o Overnight On - call; twice per month (as needed)

 Address and resolve grievances from staff and clients

 Collaborate with Housing Program Director on hiring of Youth Counselors

 Collaborate with Senior Youth Counselors on training of Youth Counselors

 Coordinate and distribute site staffing schedule; fill or cover shifts as needed

 Participate in weekly staff meetings as required and needed

 Prepare for audits with housing director and resident care team

 Deliver metrocards, petty and supplies to housing site

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

[ x] High School

Training/Experience in youth social services required.

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Computer knowledge and competent writing skills.

PREFERRED QUALITIES:

Must have the ability to work independently, with and across teams. Experience working with adolescent/young adults required. Knowledge of psychosocial needs of LGBTQ/homeless population is

needed. previous supervisory experience preferred. willingness and ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays. Willingness to travel between sites. . Six to one year of housing experience
