Job Description – (CDL B) Front Load Driver (trash/recycling truck)

As a (CDL B) Front Load Truck Driver you will be responsible for the safe operation of a commercial Front Load (trash/recycle) truck - picking up, placing and transporting containers of paper and cardboard recycle material.

Because there are multiple types of Front Loader trucks, it is important to note that this position is for a Front Loading garbage/recycle truck driver. This position requires experience with this type of truck.

You should enjoy meeting people and be familiar with area nuances, such as back roads and traffic patterns. You must have consistent and reliable attendance and practice Safety First, Last and Always!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial Front Load (trash/recycle) trucks preferred

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• One year of prior experience driving commercial trucks or equivalent military experience.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• DOT Card
• 6 months of prior experience driving commercial Front Load Trucks
• Acceptable driving record.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Valid DOT Medical Card/ Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
• Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently.
• Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.
• Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
