ResponsibilitiesOvernight Museum Attendants patrol The Ringling's 66 acre campus on foot and with golf carts.
This role is responsible for:
- Protecting the collection, buildings, and grounds including guarding against theft, vandalism, other damage, and the safety of those on the property.
- Assisting with urgent/emergency situations in a calm and timely manner.
- Conducting nightly inspections of assigned areas
- Utilizing computers to write reports, send correspondences, and submit work orders as needed.
Skills relevant to this role include:
- Excellent time management skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Handling/addressing policy violations and conflict resolution.
- Utilizing computers and learn new technology.
- Working independently and with a team.
- Responding in a calm manner to urgent/emergency situations.
Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Please note, a driver's permit is not acceptable.
Physical
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ascend/descend stairs.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
Education
- HS diploma or GED
While helpful, these skills are not required to be considered for this role:
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience in a museum, cultural institution, or non-profit organization.
- Prior experience in approaching work and interaction with colleagues and/or students in an equity-minded manner.
- Ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming work/education environment.

Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour + eligible for $5.00 per hour pay additive for working events.
Working Hours: Approximately 28 hours per week. Shift runs from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM with a half hour meal period. Weekends, days, or holidays may be required based on the needs of The Ringling.

- This is an OPS/Part-Time job.
- This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
