JOB LOCATION: Pinemont Dr., Houston, TX, 77018
We are Center for Success and Independence (www.tcsi.org) – a thriving non-profit behavioral health program dedicated to serving adolescents and their families who struggle with behavioral, emotional, and substance abuse issues. We operate a 44-bed residential program for youth with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse issues. Our vision is to continue to grow both the breadth and the quality of our program’s services. POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for the direct care of our residential clients by upholding program values, adhering to the behavior management system, and following milieu therapy structure set forth by supervisors, clinicians, and administration.
WITH WHOM WOULD I INTERACT?
The position interacts daily with adolescent males and females in a residential setting, the entire treatment team, and other support personnel (direct care, nursing, doctors, administration, clinical, administrative support, etc.).
WHAT ARE THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Represent yourself as a supportive and encouraging partner for our clients as they learn mood regulation skills.
Model mood regulation, patience, and understanding for our clients.
Collaborate with other client services personnel (therapists, nurse, etc.) to coordinate client care.
Consultation with clients for conflict management, skills coaching, etc.
Ensuring clients are on schedule with daily routine.
Ensure that behavior management system is carried out.
Participate in trainings and apply principles taught in trainings into client service delivery and ensure direct care staff do as well.
WHAT SHIFT SCHEDULES ARE AVAILABLE?
Multiple Shifts available, including weekends and Overnight
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB?
No criminal history. Hiree must pass FBI fingerprint background check.
Drug free. Hiree must pass initial drug screen and all random drug screens.
GED or high school diploma.
2-3 years of direct care experience working with adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and/or substance abuse issues.
Valid drivers license.
WHAT ARE THE PREFERENCES FOR THIS JOB?
English and Spanish speaking. Higher starting salary for Spanish/English speaking candidates.
Higher education (community college, college, etc.).
Experience and training in Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI)
