Job Definition:
Under the direction and guidance of the Guest Services Manager, the Overnight Guest Services. Will be responsible for all overnight hotel operations including but not limited to: Guest Services, night audit reports, daily reports, and receipt reconciliations. The position will also require a complete understanding of front desk operations. Two years of night audit experience required.
The Overnight Guest Services Associate is expected to oversee hotel operations during the overnight hours by providing exceptional, high-end service to all hotel guests by catering to their needs, provide a safe and secure environment, and assisting with the daily financial reporting of the hotel.

Overnight Guest Services Associate Duties & Functions:

· Be the ambassador of the property and guest advocate during the overnight hours.

· The Overnight Guest Services Associate spend 50% of the evening in the Guest Services role; assisting guests with arrival and departure, special requests, room assignments, guest amenities, answering phones, making room reservations, attending to guest’s needs, resolve any guest issues, room service and more.

· Spend 50% of the night handling Night Audit procedures, compiling all financial data from the day, cash handling, data inputting and reporting, batching credit cards, etc.

· Manage any and all emergencies according to company policies; ensure the safety of our guests and the property.

· Secure the property during the overnight hours and aid in loss prevention management.

· Communicate to Department Heads and Executives the daily shift reports, highlighting any items that need to be addressed during the day.

  • Support and comply with hotel and company policy in matters concerning accounting, purchasing, credit, and cash handling.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Front Office and Lobby appearance while on duty.

Specific Job Knowledge & Skills:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· College Degree or equivalent in Accounting preferred.

· One to two years in a hospitality position in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel

· Strong English verbal and written communication skills

· High proficiency with computer skills.

o Property management software required; Maestro specifically a plus.

o Point of sale system required; Micros specifically a plus.

o QuickBooks accounting system a plus.

o Microsoft

· Ability to multitask and to work completely independently, with a close attention to detail, in a fast paced environment.

· Positive and productive working relationships with the entire hotel staff.

· Passion for gracious & friendly customer service.

· Creative problem solver, confident and empowered to make decisions within the guidelines provided by hotel.

Physical Abilities:

· Must be able to stay awake during the overnight hours.

· Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.

· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing ability, and visual acuity.

· Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift

· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
