Job Description
RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunity for an empathetic, dedicated, and compassionate individual to provide support to our residents of our Intensive Crisis Residence during our overnight hours. A successful candidate will be able to assist residents in navigating crisis situations they may experience and adhering to their safety plan. This individual must have the ability connect to individuals in crisis and appropriately respond to the needs of sensitive populations.
RISE offers a Overnight Counselor:
- A rate of $18.50 – $20 per hour based on education and experience
- A generous time off package: In your 1st year, earn up to 4 weeks of combined vacation and holiday time, 3 weeks of combined sick and personal time, and a day off for your birthday

Overview of Job Responsibilities
- Supporting resident navigation of crisis situations
- Engaging in skill development
- Modeling coping techniques
- Collaborating with medical staff to best support residents
- Awake overnight shifts 11pm to 7am
To qualify you must have:
- Experience working with sensitive populations
- Education in Human Services or a related field
- NYS Certified Peer a plus
- An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
- Excellent conflict management and dispute resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal boundaries
