Job Purpose

Slasher Operator will work with the assistance, under the direct supervision of the shift support and in full cooperation with all associates, working together; will be responsible for the overall operation of the Slasher. Perform set up procedures at creel run out, load section, and set into creel, maintain correct speed and tension on slasher, observe front of slasher of breaks, lost ends or yard defects, stop machine repair breaks and tie lost ends, complete necessary paperwork, as required, maintain general housekeeping of area.

Principal Duties

• Patrol work area to identify defects in yarn quality through visual inspection and make corrections, as necessary.

• Use proper creeling, splicing, and doffing procedures and/or powered industrial truck, pallet jack, and/or Overhead crane.

• Complete shift inspection sheets

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S procedure, rules, and regulations.

• Maintain a good attendance record and adhere to the Attendance Policy. Adhere to Company Handbook, policies, and procedures.

• Always follow all operating and safety procedures.

• Alert Management of any unsafe condition.

• Perform any other task deemed necessary.

 Experience Requirements

• Previous textile manufacturing experience is a plus

• Forklift and Overhead crane experience

• Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and/or overtime

• Capable of being flexible and adaptable

• Routinely stand, squat, and/or work in confined spaces

• Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis

• 12hr 3rd(2on/2off)> 8pm-8am
