PumpMan Philly, a PumpMan Holdings Company, located in Folcroft, PA, is a leading repair and service provider for Commercial, Industrial, and Municipal Water and Wastewater treatment equipment and systems. PumpMan Philly performs routine repair maintenance on numerous pumps, valve, pump systems, HVAC, and electrical systems throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Our company’s services include new equipment sales; aftermarket part sales; start-up; routine inspection; field troubleshooting and repair.
The Outside Sales Representative will be in our Folcroft, PA facility which is in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

***MUST HAVE 4 TO 7 YEARS OF PROVEN SALES EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESS with pumps, motors, and equipment in the water & wastewater industry***
Responsibilities:
- Grow the sales markets (pumps, aftermarket, and service) in the Eastern PA, NJ, and Delaware regions.
- Prospecting on local businesses for replacement, maintenance, and service projects
- Call on building managers, maintenance managers, and maintenance personnel.
- Attend trade shows to promote our business
- Follow-up on incoming sales & service leads
- Maintain relationship with customers, providing ongoing sales support and handling service issues
- Regular study product offering, types of equipment, and service capabilities
- Constantly work to gain knowledge on competitors and their equipment.
- Make outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers
- Overcome technical and business objections from prospective customers
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School or Trade School Diploma
- Must have a minimum of 4-7 years of proven sales experience and success with pumps, motors, and equipment in the water & wastewater industry
- Technical Training School or experience in electrical/mechanical trade
- Proficiency and aptitude to understand mechanical equipment and mechanical work
- Diagnose problems and determine appropriate action for sales or service opportunities
- Read, interpret, and work from sketches, books, blueprints, and specifications.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and doing the job right the first time
- Knowledge of Electrical and control circuits
- Excellent attitude and customer orientation
- Strong analytical skills and proficient computer skills
- Ability to work independently and work extended hours as needed
- Reside near company location and willingness to travel within client territory
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background investigation, physical evaluation, and drug screen
